Report an intimate image shared without consent

An intimate image is a nude or sexual photo or video. “Without consent” means you did not agree to let it be shared. If an image like this of you is on OuterTalk, we will take it down. It can be real or fake, like one made with AI. You do not need an OuterTalk account to ask.

How to ask

Email us with four things

Write to support@outertalk.com. Use the subject Intimate image removal. Put these four things in your email:

  1. Where it is. Send a link to the post, comment or profile. Or tell us enough to find it, like the username, the date and what it shows.
  2. A short statement. Say that you are the person shown, or that you are acting for them. Say that you honestly believe it was shared without consent. Tell us anything that helps us see that. (The law calls this a “good faith” statement.)
  3. Your full name, typed. This is your signature. (The law calls it an “electronic signature.”)
  4. How to reach you. Give us an email address or a phone number.

Please do not send us the image itself. A link or a short description is enough.

  • The person in the image.
  • Someone acting for them, like a parent or a lawyer.
  • You do not need an OuterTalk account.

Have an account?

You can also report it in the app. Tap ⋮ (the three dots) on the post. Tap Report Post, then Nudity or sexual content. In the box, say it is you. Please email us too, so we see it right away.

What we do

What happens next

  • We reply with a request number. If something is missing, we ask you for it.
  • We take it down within 48 hours, weekends included. The 48 hours start when we get your email with all four things.
  • We take down copies too. That means any copies of it on OuterTalk that we know about.
  • We tell you when it is down. If we do not take it down, we tell you why.
  • If the person shown is under 18, we also report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). They work to keep children safe.

A U.S. law called the TAKE IT DOWN Act says sites like ours must do this.
